Award & Honours
From November 1983 through the summers of 1984 and 1985 I worked in London, Ontario, as a research assistant and in research supported by my research fellowship. I also volunteered at London Psychiatric Hospital, a provincial psychiatric hospital, during the summers. |
Professional & Community Activities
In February 1995 I left MacMillan Rooke Boeckle to practice on my own; initially in association with another lawyer, and then as a sole-practitioner since May 1998.
In 1994->95 President of the Delos Davis Law Guild - the association of black lawyers in Ontario.
I have also served on Committees of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA), the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers; making recommendations on Academic Legal Education, and writing briefs and making presentations to the CBA's Working Group on Racial Equality in the Legal Profession, and helping to organize and participating in programs arranged by the Association in its annual conventions in 1997 and 1998.
Served as the Community Representative for the School Council of Richmond Hill High School.
Volunteer soccer coach with the Richmond Hill Soccer Club.
